NOW – THE SILENT TRANSITION GROUP – PASSION FOR MUSIC

For many years we have been asked about re-releasing our previous albums. The challenge was to develop this project musically in an intriguing way with some positive vibes. In spring 2022 we began with the preparations for new compositions and recordings. Since 2023 we are working together very intensively for our new album SILENT TRANSITION.

MUSIC with extended instrumental passages und many surprises, coherent lyrics, creating a distinct und striking sound. With this new album we send a clear signal: NOW

Work in progress – come together

Our new compositions, lyrics and instrumental arrangements are a reflection on the state of things. Since we work as independent producers there are no compromises. We integrate our many musical experiences as well as our gained knowledge echoing our lives in culture and theatre projects in which we have been involved to crossover in an extended form into this new album SILENT TRANSITION.

Guitar

We know the brilliant guitar player Alex Hutchings for some time. The guitar parts formed an integral component during the creative process of composing the new tracks as well as the complex arrangements and fitting into the soundscape. Rehearsals took place in Bristol/U.K. in summer 2023.

Lyrics

The poetic lyrics of SILENT TRANSITION include the passing of time, loneliness in the digital age and as a consequence of COVID-19, global polarization, the loss of biodiversity and the fact that we are living right now in a very tense and fragile world. The lyrics also form a connection with our fourth album SUPERVISION. Yet the perspective has altered into a present string: NOW.

SILENT TRANSITION – holding the line

MUSIC to explore – long-form tracks – NO COMFORT ZONE: striking archaic rhythms, SILENT TRANSITION: the poetic title-track with a special guitar-riff, VELVET CLOUDS: cinemascope – crimson flashes shatter the silence – a sense of magic flows, SIGNAL ON THE SHORES (instrumental): stranded on sand, WINDING PATHS: the final track, fading out with a peaceful hymn. Exciting compositions, complex arrangements, trademarks of our first four albums. Musically with this new album we draw the bow from «A Poem of Dancing» from our second album ELEMENTS to the composition «Strange Meeting» from our third album OUT IN THE DARK based on the haunting poem of Wilfred Owen – as well as to the epic track «Paradise Lost» from our fourth album SUPERVISION. Listen to the melancholic ballad OUT FROM THE SKY: this track with a carrying bass and piano closes a circle to our iconic songs «Nocturnal Flight» on OUT IN THE DARK – as well as to «Signs of Solitude» and «Tragedy» on SUPERVISION.
